CEEDA is an energy efficiency assessment framework addressing best practices which directly impact OPEX, providing a globally applicable certification and guidance on optimizing deployment of labor and CAPEX to maximize performance.
In 2016, before the launch of Rockolo, we did a CEEDA audit on our Mount Pleasant data center, which was at the time was still part of Gibtelecom. This resulted in a Silver level certification. The process helped us systematically identify opportunities to control OPEX related to energy use whilst also demonstrating our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability to customers.
With the formation of Rockolo we decided to re-certify the Mount Pleasant facility where we had applied all the recommendations from the previous audit and to use CEEDA for our new World Trade Center (WTC) facility in Gibraltar. This has resulted in a higher energy efficiency performance and we’re proud that both have obtained the Gold level certification.
